Our Story

Shanah City was established on October 1, 2017, in Denver, Colorado, through the divine leading and mandate of God to Apostle Zaq Nombre and Lady Nayram Nombre as Shanah International Center. During a worship service, the Lord revealed, "Out of you shall come a city," leading to the ministry being renamed Shanah City—a reflection of God's vision to build a spiritual community that transforms lives and impacts nations.

The name Shanah comes from the Hebrew word שָׁנָה (shanah), meaning "year." It points to God's appointed seasons of growth, renewal, and transformation. As believers walk with Christ through each season, they are continually changed by His grace and shaped into His image.
Today, Shanah City exists to equip believers, reveal the glory of Christ, and advance God's Kingdom by transforming lives and raising disciples who influence their communities and the nations.

Our vision extends beyond the four walls of the church and into the heart of the community, where faith is demonstrated through love, service, and practical action.

As Shanah City continues to grow, we aim at actively developing community initiatives that will extend the love of Christ in tangible ways. These include children's programs, after-school programs, housing support, vocational training, and other outreach efforts designed to strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Our desire is to see every person equipped to live out their God-given purpose and become a positive influence wherever God has called them.
