Giving FAQ’s
Why Give?
Giving is a reflection of a grateful heart that wants to give back to God what He has blessed us with. It is our opportunity to show God He is first in our lives. The Bible teaches us we should 1) give regularly, 2) give proportionally, 3) give sacrificially and 4) give cheerfully.
Can I give through my debit card, credit card or checking account?
Yes. Giving online is one of the methods to give to Shanah City Church using a debit or credit card. We encourage people to give directly through their banking “bill pay” system whenever possible, (in order to save on transaction fees…). However, you may also set up recurring giving through our Cash App account directly via ACH as well.
Can I give as a Guest?
Yes, you definitely can give as a Guest.
Are my Contributions Tax Deductible?
Yes. Shanah City Church is a non-profit organization registered with the IRS under our conference umbrella as a 501(c)(3). Your contributions are therefore tax deductible and applied in accordance with IRS regulations.
Is Online Giving Secure?
Yes, the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end.
Can I schedule Recurring Donations?
Yes, you can schedule a recurring donation and specify whether you want your contribution made once, weekly, twice per month or monthly.
Will I receive a Contributions Statement?
Yes. Shanah City Church mails a contribution statement to all givers by January 31st for the previous year by request via email
What if I want to make changes to my recurring donation?
You can make changes online anytime. This includes editing, deleting or pausing scheduled contributions, or if you need to update your card or bank information. These changes will need to be made under your user name and password for our Member Portal[Will they set up member portal for the online giving?.
I received an email saying my contribution did not go through. What do I do?
Double check that all the information you entered in the Member Portal is accurate including current card information and billing address. If you are set up for recurring giving, it may be because your card expired and you need to update the new card information.
